Windows Server 2012 R2
I'm going to rebuild my home lab server. I have a 250GB SSD and a 1TB+ SATA drive. I'm going to have about 10VMs on the system, most running all at the same time.
I think it's simple to assume that any VM with lots of IO would be best placed on the SSD, but what about the hypervisor itself?
It's a small SSD, so I'll need every GB I can get... Will placing the hypervisor on the SSD vs SATA have any performance impacts to the system overall?
