Converting physical server to Hyper-V VM

I have a 2012r2 DC that has a SQL express database that is being used by other software on the server. DHCP, DNS, printer shares, network folders. (I know, more than just DC on DC isn't recommended)

The physical server hardware is having issues and might be possible to have it running as a Hyper-V VM on another box.

Will there be any difficulties with it being a DC or any of the above to have it converted to a hyper-V virtual machine on a server 2016 host?

What is the best method to do this?

I have Backup exec, made by Veritas, that has this feature or is there a Microsoft equivalent that would be more reliable?

I see mention of a Disk2Vhd utility but not sure if that's Microsoft or another 3ed party. I would prefer to keep the method to either be from Microsoft or Veritas.

Will the methods I mentioned or another that is proposed wipe out the source server or will it be left intact just in case?

Thanks
