Virtual Storage Device Error Count

We are experiencing some problems with our virtual machines. While checking windows performance counters I've found that some virtual disks has Hyper-V Virtual Storage Device\Error count has values > 0. One of them is more than 6000 and it grows slowly. How can I find out what is it?

Does it mean that underlying physical disk may have errors (I've checked it and it's OK)? Does it mean that VHDX file has inner structure errors? How can I check it? I ran chkdsk on physical and virtual disks and it showed 0 errors.

I've found information that this error count must be 0, but no info what to do if it's not.

I've seen this thread, but it has no info :-(
