Remove Cluster Volume 1 from Failover Cluster

Hi All,

I have a simple question that Google nor Bing can definitively answer. I have a cluster with 3 storage devices, Cluster Volume 1, 2 and 3.  I wan't to remove Cluster Volume 1. There is no data on that volume, so not worried about retaining any data. If I remove the volume from the cluster, do Volumes 2 & 3 stay at  2 & 3, which I would assume is the proper behaviour. I just want to make sure that the system doesn't reshuffle the volume numbers and cause all my vm's to go offline.

Ok, so this is a 2 part question. Say I want to add another volume later, will that become Volume 1 or 4?

Thanks in advance.
