I have a virtual machine located on a removable drive. This drive sleeps when not in use for an extended period of time. If Hyper-V Manager is started when the drive is asleep, Manager reports that the virtual machine state is "Off-critical".
OK, but when the drive spins up a couple of seconds later, it takes up to two minutes for Manager to figure it out and update the VM status to "Off". Is there a way to speed up the polling cycle to minimize the time it takes for Manager to recognize
the updated state of the drive?
