If you try to do a new Hyper V 2012 R2 cluster with the Failover Cluster Wizard in a full Win 2012 Server, sends error.
When you start the process, says Forming Cluster "CLUSTER"
The Operation is taking longer than expected
At the end, throws this:
An error occurred while creating the cluster.
An error occurred creating cluster 'CLUSTER'.
This operation returned because the timeout period expired
The problem was that you need to create the cluster from a Windows 2012 R2 Failover Cluster Manager. R1 doesn't seem to work.
When you do the same in a full Windows 2012 R2 server with the Failover Cluster Manager, works ok.
Can anyone confirm this?..
If this is a yes, can you please, Microsoft, notify the user with a msg? Something like the node that you adding is NOT supported with this Failover Cluster Manager
Another Question:
Same applies for Win8, Win8.1 Manager tools?.. Do we have to use Win 8.1 tools for hyper V 2012 R2?
