Hanging on initial sync

Hi, I have a Hyper V host server running on Windows Server 2012R2. I have 5 VMs on this box and two of them need to be replicated to a separate data centre. Both were working fine until we needed to shut the HyperV host server down and move it to a different rack in the DC. Since then one of the VMs replicates perfectly and the second one does not. It kept hanging replicating so I removed the replication on source and target HyperV server and removed all the files from the replica and tried to do the sync again. It gets to 20% and just sits there saying sending initial replica. I can not find any event log entries on the live server that would explain this and on the target I found the following:

The virtual machine 'machine-name' cannot start a backup operation because it is currently executing a conflicting operation. Try the backup again.

This happens around 2am so I think its down to the Backup Assist software.

I checked with the Network guys in the DCs and they said there is nothing that would interfere with any replication packets and bearing in mind one of my VMs is replication without any issues. Of course I have checked available disk space.

Any thoughts or ideas on this would be really good.
