One of my Hyper-V Windows 2016 servers has a problem I can't solve. After time, when I load Hyper-V Manager (whether local or connect remotely) I missing the settings options for all VMs (Turn Off, Shut Down, Save, Pause, Reset, Checkpoint, Move, Export, Rename). The only options that appear for each VM is Connect, Settings, Enable Replication. If I connect to a VM that is Off, I am unable to start the VM; I receive the following error message:
The application encountered an error while attempting to change the state of 'VM Name.' 'VM Name' failed to change state. The operation cannot be performed while the object is in the current state.
The only way to fix this issue is to restart the server, which is unacceptable. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Thanks.
