Hi All,
I've been running Hyper-v failover cluster with two-node, and kept having fail-over issues. When I investigated I found that both nodes were almost simultaneously logging this "informational" message:
Log Name: System
Event ID: 4201
Description: Isatap interface isatap.{0641D3E0-A625-4A6C-8978-00EDB13F5376} is no longer active.
Immediately after this message the cluster would fail, causing the databases to failover. About 5 seconds after that this message would get logged:
Log Name: System
Event ID: 4200
Description: Isatap interface isatap.{B1103C13-7B25-43C6-BD5A-BFBD28C90B3F} with address fe80::5efe:169.254.1.230 has been brought up.
Poked around for a bit but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I couldn't tell what was triggering the failure, or why this could be occurring…and what the hell is this adapter that keeps flapping and then coming back up.
Please suggest..
