Hello,
I have a Windows 2012 R2 Exchange 2013 virtual machine Gen 2 running on a Windows 2012 R2 Host. THe VM has the latest patches and integration services installed. When the VM is on line it replicates but the merge process always fails. I can't afford to take the machine offline for hours everyday to let the merge process succeed. I have 4 other VMs that all replicate and merge fine on the same host.
I have over 2TB of free space on the host, about 25% free memory on the VM as well as the host. There are no backups or antivirus programs locking the VHDx.
I have recovery point set to only the latest recovery point.
I've tried wiping out the VM and just setting up a new one using the same VHD - same results.
I've removed replication and the VM runs fine without replication.
When I set up replication again it has the same issue - it creates a large avhdx file and it won't merge so long as the VM is turned on - merge happens fine once the VM is turned off.
Strangely it says replication health normal.
