We currently have all our VMs running on two Windows Server 2008 R2 hosts configured as a Hyper-V failover cluster. All cluster shared storage is on a NetApp SAN,
this is where the vhd files for all the VMs are stored. We are getting a new server with Windows Server 2012 R2 which will be a standalone Hyper-V host, the new server will be domain joined though.
Is it possible to move the existing VMs from the failover cluster to the new server? If so, what would be the procedure? I'd really like to avoid migrating everything to new VMs on the new server.
