Network Upload Speed Issue (XP clients to HyperV guest servers)

We have an issue where there is an extremely slow (upload) connection between our XP PCs/laptops and all of our HyperV guest servers. Windows 7 PCs/laptops there is no issue.
The issue seems to be only with XP clients.

For troubleshooting we have created a 500MB .txt file.

Fast file transfer:
File transfer from XP clients to Host server that the HyperV guests reside on
File transfer from XP clients to any physical server.
File transfer from HyperV guest server to XP clients
File transfer to/from Windows 7 clients to HyperV guest servers

Extremely slow file transfer:
File transfer from XP clients to HyperV guest server


We have all our switch ports and network cards speed/duplex settings set to Auto Negotiate.
We have gone as far as temporarily configureing the server/pc/switch ports to be 100/Full duplex but still have slow file transfer.

The only way that we have gotten an XP client to fast upload a file to a HyperV guest was to connect the client directly to the Host server with a crossover cable.

We have also connected a Windows 7 laptop in some of the same ports where WinXP clients are plugged in and file upload to the HyperV guest servers is very fast so it does not seem to be a switch/network issue.


Does anyone know how we can fix or further troubleshoot this issue?
