I inherited a network and the Hyper-V Replication server seemed to have stopped working correctly a month before I arrived, probably due to a lack of hard drive space. I've been resolving this over the last week, with half the machines on the existing server and half on another one.
Having removed replication and deleted the VHDs on the existing replica server, for some of the machines, enabling replication onto it has been no problem at all. However, for a few of them, i've been recieving the following message (which is also present in event viewer under Windows Logs/Applications and Services/Microsoft/Hyper-V-VMMS as error 32000).
Enabling Replication Failed
Hyper-V failed to enable replication.
Hyper-V failed to enable replication for virtual machine "Servername": The name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag. (0xC00CEE3B). (Virtual machine ID C70CD786-B8FA-445D-BD14-4115E01C80A1)
Which appears to be some form of XML error? Have tried removing undo logs for said servers too but it makes no difference. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
