Good morning,
We run hyper-v clusters (without sccm) and on 2 servers I ended up with some of the VMs losing network connectivity for no reason I could find in the logs whatsoever.
On the first server which is running 3 VMs, rebooting the single problematic VM allowed the VM's network to come back online but the HOST lost its network as soon as the VM was online. I had to reboot the HOST to get everything back to working normally. Not really a good thing to happen when the VM that lost connectivity is one of the prod DB server.
On the second server which is running about 30 VMs, 5 of them lost connectivity. Rebooting them worked to solve the issue for 2 of them. I had to migrate the other 3 to other hosts to be able to regain connectivity. As soon as I had move the 3 remaining VMs to another host and the other 2 were working fine again, bam another server lost its connectivity. Again, only way to get everything working again was to reboot the HOST.
Does anyone have an inkling as to wtf is going on?
Thanks
