Hi,
I have working to build new Hyper-V 2012 cluster failover between two virtual machines by SMB shared, I have the below servers that working in internal virtual switch (10.10.10.1) ,
- Active Directory VM with DNS in same server ==> 10.10.10.20
- Two VMs ( node1 and node2 ) ==> 10.10.10.21 and 10.10.10.22
- SMB shared ==> 10.10.10.23
I did the below steps,
1/ In the first I installed Active directory and DNS server for domain ( testclsuter.com ).
2/ installed SMB server shared and the shared paths in: \\SMB\sharedsmb
Also I give my VMs full SMB control permissions.
3/ I install two VMs normally "Not inside SMB", and I joined the VMs to active directory but when I launch the Failover Cluster Manager, I get this warning message, “To manage a failover cluster, you must be logged on with a domain user account.
A domain user account is required because you need access to Active Directory Domain Services and to all servers in the cluster, including remote servers.” Also, the only options that appear are View, Properties, and Help. There is no sign of the
Validate a Configuration menu option or anything else.
I don't what was the problem, I'm logged as Administrator.
