Hyper-V VM fails to start

We are using Window 2008 R2 server on the Hyper-V host servers.  We have a LeftHand P4300 SAN to hold the VHD files and to give us high availability.  Our environment has been working just fine until about a week ago when several VM's went into the "stopped" state for no apparent reason.  We've tried starting those machines but each time it fails - the VM will go inot the "failed" state.

Here are a few of the errors in the Hyper-V log:

cannot access the data folder of the virtual machine. (Virtual machine ID FC8AB813-0624-47C6-A4E7-F9C38BB1AE6D)

could not initialize. (Virtual machine ID FC8AB813-0624-47C6-A4E7-F9C38BB1AE6D)

could not create or access saved state file

The Virtual Machines configuration FC8AB813-0624-47C6-A4E7-F9C38BB1AE6D at 'C:\ClusterStorage\Volume1\'server name' is no longer accessible: The media is write protected. (0x80070013)

I checked the folder and it is checked for "read only".  I removed that checkmark but didn't make any difference, the machine still won't start.
The repair function isn't available either ("grayed" out)

Any help would be most appreciated.  This VM happens to be our list-serv server and we have a mailing that will need to go out on Thursday so I need to get this machine up and running by then.
