DNS Wont Work in VM using GbE adapter

I have 2 NICs on my server running Windows 2008 R2. Both work from the server side so I know I have a working connection. I have a VM running Windows Server 2008 R2. I just added a StarTech 10GbE adapter (PEX10000SFP). On the VM, if I select the 1GB line it works fine but if I select the newly added 10GbE as the network, I get no internet on the VM. I can get a DHCP IP address from the router so I know its at least connecting but the DNS fails. The Windows Network Diagnostics shows the DNS server isn't responding. I can ping other IP addresses on the network but NSLookup fails every time. It doesn't matter if I statically set the IP/DNS, it never works. I've tried using the local DNS server, ISP and Google as DNS and it does not work. I can browse to the hosting server's IP address via windows explorer and copy files but any other address, even the ones that can be pinged fails. If I removed the Network Adapter from the VM and add a Legacy Network Adapter and select the 10GbE line as the network, the VM is able to connect to the internet without issue but it shows its running at 100Mbps. This is the same issue for any other VM I run. Any idea what needs to be done to fix it to work normally?
