I recently rebuilt a Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V host, which has 4 physical NICs. 1 is dedicated to the host, with a static IP, 1 is dedicated to the Hyper-V switch, and the other 2 have DHCP (for troubleshooting purposes). For some reason,
I cannot ping the NIC dedicated for the Hyper-V host, and I cannot RDP to it. I have verified Remote Desktop is enabled, and the Windows firewall is off. I can RDP onto both the other NICs IPs, and when I assign the Hyper-V host NIC to DHCP, I
can RDP onto the server then. I have verified there is no other device using the same IP as the static IP in question. Can someone please help me troubleshoot this problem? Thanks!
