Hi there,
Here is the situation.
There are two Physical Web Servers - A & B. Both in Network Load Balancer (NLB) and working fine
When we perform Physical to Virtual (P2V) conversion for B. The P2V was successful.
However, upon powering up the B vm and adding back into the NLB, it causes a spike in the vCPU usage, the process name is w3wp, up to 100%. This causes the B vm to lag and ping drops to occur. Subsequently we have to remove B vm from the NLB.
Because their Website cannot afford downtime and is currently supported by A, we are uncertain if when we do P2V for A, the same thing will happen.
Currently we suspect that the reason for the CPU spike has certain relation with the network. Possibly because the NLB is now supporting a Physical Web Server and a Virtual Web Server.
We need to know if this could be the root cause. If it is, we suspect that when we P2V A, the situation will revert back to normal, but we cannot tell for sure.
Please enlighten us on this.
