We have a Windows 2012 Hyper-V host (located in a branch office) that is currently configured as a stand alone system. This Hyper-V host runs 2 guests, of which one is a domain controller (for the branch office) in the domain. As with any computer, the RTC on the Hyper-V host drifts... What would be a better solution for synchronising its clock?
1. Add the Hyper-V host to the domain and let it synchronise to the domain clock
2. Synchronise it with an external (somewhere on the Internet) NTP server
P.S. 'Time synchronisation' (in 'Integration Services') between host and guest is disabled.
