Hi
We have a standard Hyper-V cluster with 5 hosts and a SAN.
We have decided to create a LUN/Volume for each costumer we host servers for.
When the setup were designed, someone told us that an NTFS volume runs best with 30% free disk Space.
We then calculate the costumers space need and multiply with 1.3.
I have now wondered a bit, and that actually doesn't give me 30% free space. And is there for wondering:
Is it relevant to have 30% free space on the LUN's/Volumes?
Is there any performens degration, and if there is, is it significant enough to bother calculate and keep track of it?
Or would you say that it is enough just to have 30GB free space?
