So I'm getting ready to do some P2V migrations using Hyper-V on 2008r2 server, and found this useful article describing the steps in doing both an online and offline migration:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc764232.aspx
However, as somebody points out in the comments section below the article, there is no information regarding what steps to take post migration. I'm considering doing both online and offline migrations, and trying to gather a list of pros/cons - one issue I see is how you would go about bringing the virtual machine online once complete, assuming it has the same name as the physical machine. Just wondering if anybody here has experience doing both types, and can maybe give me some pointers as to the aftermath?
