I searched the internet for this query and could not get a closely matching article
(1) In the VM property (in SCVMM), hardware configuration-Advanced0 Integration services, we can tick "Heart beat". It is usually ticked
(2) In FOCM (failover cluster manager), I can choose the same VM in roles- click on it, then click the 'resources' at the bottom, then now I can right-click the VM -properties-settings- There is an option
enable heartbeat monitoring and a sub-option 'enable automatic recovery.....'. Both are ticked for all servers in our environment..
Question: What is the difference? Should we tick/check the 'heartbeat' in two different places as in (1) and (2)
Environment is :Hyper -v 2012 Sp1 (non R2)
