Enabling replication on VM - Username or password is incorrect

When enabling replication for a VM, i am getting the below exception. 

Hyper-V failed to enable replication for virtual machine 'VM_XXXX': The user name or password is incorrect. (0x8007052E). (Virtual Machine ID 9825A211-35F3-4A30-8325-9DE8223AB228)

I am using certificate authentication and all the certificates are trusted on either side.

What are the credentials its asking for, when are they getting used, and what is the fix.
