I run two Dell Virtual Hosts (Hyper-V) with several Virtual Machines (Servers) using Failover Cluster Storage from an ISCI Dell SAN. I'll call the vitual hosts VH01/VH02 and the virtual machine in question VM01 (Windows Server 2008R2).
Today VM01 paused as VH01 decided that it had run out of disk space on the C: drive!
I quickly added a few extra GB from the SAN so that it would start.
The SAN is configured to allocate 160GB via the CSV to VH01.
This 160GB disk is allocated to the C drive (VHD) on VM01.
When I look at Disk Management on VH01, I can see the 160GB Disk and it shows that there is 10GB of free space remaining.
When I look at Disk Management on VM01 again I can see the 160GB drive but this shows 85GB of free space!
Can anyone explain why the host is seeing so much less free space.
Thanks
Gavin
