Hi,
Can someone explain to me what are these entries that are displayed in a .NFO (msinfo32.exe) on a Windows 2012 (also seen in R2), even though I do NOT have the Hyper-V Role enabled:
Hyper-V - VM Monitor Mode Extensions Yes
Hyper-V - Second Level Address Translation Extensions Yes
Hyper-V - Virtualization Enabled in Firmware Yes
Hyper-V - Data Execution Protection Yes
There seems to be no way of disabling it and there is no information on the help and haven't been able to find much on this or other related web searches.
So, if we have not enabled the Hyper-V role, why are these "extensions" enabled? What do they mean?
Reason I ask is because we have PCIe HW that is not capable of running on (most) virtualization environments and we suspect these might be causing some erratic behavior we have experienced on and off.
Thanks!
