Here's the basics of my setup:
- One physical server (WinServ 2012 R2)
- Four virtual machines (WinServ 2012 R2)
- One SMB Share (hosted by my physical server)
- Two of those virtual machines are part of a failover cluster (TESTFC-150)
When I am using the Hyper-V Manager on the physical machine to create a new VHDX file and add it to my Virtual Machine TESTVM-201, I am not prompted with the ability to "share" this VHDX file, as there is no "advanced features" extension available to this harddrive.
Did I screw up by creating these VMs in Hyper-V Manager instead of as roles in the Failover Cluster Manager? Does that make a difference?
Thanks in advance for any advice or information that might be provided. I am learning along the way.
