We are using hyper-v that comes with server 2012r2. Installed 2012r2 as a guest OS. Server is physically configured with 8 SaS configured in RAID 5. 2 SaS drives makes a drive and the other 6 make 1 drive. I created a virtual C: to install hyper-v guest.
My question is about the other drive (6 drives above). I know to take the 2nd drive offline in order to add it to the VM. But we will be making another VM and want to use that 2nd drive in that VM too. So what is the best way to accomplish that goal? Can we
add the whole physical drive in every VM or should we create virtual drives for each VM?
