I am confused as to what the actual position is regarding the use of Hyper-V Replica when a VM runs either Exchange or SQL, i have read several threads on this. in server 2012 R2 i can quite clearly see three different recovery snapshots for the replica VM:
latest recovery point
standard recovery point
application consistent recovery point.
I thought that if the hyper-v replica server integrates with the VSS writer of the VM and provides an application consistent recovery point, then it should be consistent for Exchange and SQL? what is the latest recovery point based on, is this non consistent with applications?
