VMs not reporting an IP address/can't be shutdown by Hyper-V

Hi,

I have Server 2012 R2 VMs on my Hyper-V server. All are running the integration tools (up to date) and the network settings at the VM level (ie protected network, etc) are all the same.

However, some VMs do not report an IP address in the Hyper-V manager and when opening the vm console they display "Connecting to [VM NAME]...". If I try to shutdown (even with the guest services checked in vm settings), I get an error. Heartbeat communication is listed as lost.
