I've been looking around for some answers to this, but I haven't really been able to find a solid answer. But then again, I'm not entirely sure how to google the question.
We've recently implemented a few HyperV 2012 Core machines on our new Dell C6100, all of which are running two Raid 1 arrays. We've been asking the question, "What happens when one of the raid drives fails?". Not both, just a single drive. Since we are running this on core, we can't just open up the RAID software and take a look, and the only way to access the RAID configuration is via BIOS.
What do we do? How do we monitor the health and the status? Is the only thing we can do is watch for flashing orange lights?
