Hi Everyone,
I've currently got an issue where when trying to convert a dynamic VHDX to a static VHDX, high I/O load on the server is causing other VM's on the host to run quite slow.
I've read somewhere that this is because Hyper-V zero's out the drive space that it is allocating to the new static VHDx. Is there a way to not do this? It's a pain to cause 5 other VM's slow performance just to convert dynamic to static.
PS. Server runs 10k SAS, 2xXeon CPU, quite a large amount of available RAM. OS is Server 2k12R2 with Hyper-V Role installed.
Cheers,
Anthony
