Hi all, I have done some reading up and have understand the difference between Hyper-V Snapshots and VSS Snapshots..
What I do need some assistance is on a basic solution for a small Hyper-V environment of 6 servers with just important services (basically 8-10 hours recovery).
1) All the Hyper-V servers already have replication and under the VSS option "Only the latest recovery point" is selected. I was exploring if I should change to Additional recovery points which would take up more space. Does "Additional recovery points" gives me more backup volume snapshots to choose to recover from ?
2) I understand that to backup specific VM, all the associated volume must be backup. Does it means under the Replication option all volume are covered ?
3) There's also Windows Server Backup which gives an extra edge over volume VSS as it can restore files while VSS only can recover the whole disk volume. So on a file server, does the Windows Server Backup be a better option than VSS ?
