Registering guest os toward host licensing quota

Hello All,

As I understand from my research, server 2012 standard comes with 2 free virtual operating system environments which are down gradable. If I were to create a new VM with server 2012 standard running on it how do I register the guest VM towards that 2 vose quota? Is there a place in the host OS that will generate a key?
