I've been trying to get windows phone 8 emulator working with no luck. This lead me to find out that it's not emulator problem, but hyper-v itself. I installed new VM and when starting it, I'm getting the following error after it attempting to start for
about 5 minutes:
"Name" failed to start worker process: Server execution failed (0x80080005)
I've checked cpuid for compatibility with virtualization (vmplayer works ok)
I don't see anything in windows event log, but Hper-V-Worker/Admin log has the following entry:
The Virtual Machine Worker Process has lost its connection to the root\virtualization WMI namespace: General access denied error (0x80070005). As a result, some WMI operations may not function correctly. To correct the problem, try restarting the Windows Management
Instrumentation service.
and Hyper-V-VMMS has the same message as above about worker process not starting.
I've tried re-reinstalling hyper-V with no success.
Thanks for any help.
