Basic starting point for performance monitoring of Hyper-V infrastructure

I am new for this topic and cannot found the info, please help.  

In the past, there were a series of article which describe how to monitor Hyper-V through performance counters. E.g.

However, they are for window server 2008. Is there any more recent article of the same topic for window server 2012 and 2012 R2 Hyper-V ? Apart from this, is there any MS article which describe the suggested alert threshold for these performance counters ? Thanks in advance.
