Please note the following scenario:
1. Created LUN on my IBM SAN and advertised it to Hyper V Group ( 3 servers in Hyper V cluster accessing clustered shared volumes)
2. Logged into the first server in the cluster and tried initialize the disk and the error message I get is "incorrect function" disk cannot be initialized [This was done through Disk Manager]
2.a Repeated step 2 for the second and third server in the cluster and the results were the same
3. DiskPart Utility does not see the LUN/Disk at all
4. Windows Powershell sees the Disk as being online
So the failover cluster cannot add this disk until the operating system sees the disk and signs it with a signature and then it gets formatted. This is not happening at all and I have spent a couple of weeks researching the matter.
Can someone please let me know what I am missing here. This should be straight forward right?
Thank you guys and I welcome your responses or guidance.
