Hyper-V + SAN

Hi All,

I have a question on recommended practices.

Hyper-V Host (2012 R2) is iSCSI to SAN

When creating a volume to use for the guest VM (2012 R2), should i set it online and initialize on host then set all VHDX there OR

should I keep it offline and use it as a dedicated or passthrough disk with no VHDX.
