We have a VHD (dynamic size) that is about 200GB and a snapshot avhd which is about 500GB. This has gone unnoticed for a long time.
We need to merge the two so that we can expand the VHD.
Is there a rule for how much space is needed to merge the data?
Would it be better (faster, less disk space requirement) to export the VHD out, remove the current vhd and avhd and then import the exported copy?
Our server is HyperV core 2008.
