On a domain joined host, I've been having trouble with Hyper-V RemoteFX. It turns out that if you have Group Policy set to do any kind of logon screen notification, the fake user that RemoteFX accesses the graphics card with is unable to connect or log in - causing the options for graphics cards to fail.
There's two solutions I've found:
- Disable the GPO for things such as notifying about failed password attempts.
- Change the host to be in a separate OU and not permit inheritance of GPO's to that container.
It's all messy though - is there a patch or fix that deals with this issue? I'm up to date on Windows Update for the entire forest.
