Hello Technet,
I have searched the forums but i could not find a good answer for my question.
I am setting up a hyper-v failover cluster environment with windows server 2012 for test purposses. I see a lot of people saying that it is recommended to make the physical servers hyper-v hosts only and to create a virtual DC. I am really wondering why this is, why is it not recommended to make 1 of the hyper-v hosts a DC aswell. Also how does it work when you want to login on the server after a reboot or startup, the dc is not powered on then so how will it connect to that network.
My test environment:
- 2x Dell poweredge 1950III
- Juniper EX2200 switch
- NAS connected through iSCSI
- Windows server 2012 Datacenter
I hope someone can explain this to me and thanks in advance.
